Asking an artist for a commission painting is a fun collaborative process, where we work together to develop a painting you will cherish forever. I'll break down some FAQs

Price: 

I price almost strictly by size, unless the image is extremely complicated. Basically, here's your ballpark:

16x20" or smaller - $800

18x24” - $1100

30x36" - $1800

36x48" - $2200

36x72" - $3200

48x72” - $3800

There are other sizes and prices in between! Depending on the composition, I can of course do different dimensions.

Do you have an awesome photo of your grandparents or you and your siblings as kids that would make for a great painting? Do you want something a little different than your typical family portrait? Maybe there is a specific lake or field that is special to you. Or perhaps you want a painter's interpretation of your wedding day.

I love talking with people about the photos that they hold dear and how they would like to further celebrate them with a painting.

Style!

There's more than one way to paint a painting. I work in a variety of styles and colour palettes. Black and white or colour, naturalistic style or something a bit more funky, the world is our oyster. 

Typically I will make suggestions based on the photos you provide me, but it also helps if you browse my website and pick out paintings that appeal to you. After that, I get to work!

Prints

I can have your painting made into archival giclee prints, sized for affordable IKEA frames on archival watercolour paper which make for fantastic gifts.
